Dudana Mazmanishvili at Hope@Home

One of our releases that we are particularly proud of is this gem from Dudana Mazmansihvili, one of Georgia’s greatest pianists. “‘A huge surprise – I hadn’t expected to find such a talent” wrote none other than Daniel Barenboim – and indeed, the masterful, yet passionate performances on this album are simply breathtaking. It was nominated for Germany’s most prestigious music award, the “ECHO” and received fantastic reviews all over the globe.

A true “Wunderkind”, Dudana Mazmanishvili started to play piano when she was only three years old. She made her international debut in 2006 when she debuted at Carnegie Hall in New York when critic Harris Goldsmith celebrated her as “Discovery of the Year”. He emphasized their peculiarity in the music magazine “New York Concert Review” with the words “Only a truly unique artist can play with such a tonal personality and vibrancy of sound.” In the same year the debut CD was released with works by Busoni, Bach, Liszt and Rachmaninow, which was named “CD of the month” by radio station Bayern 4. 2007 she was voted “Rising Star of the Year” by “Musical America.” Subsequently, Dudana Mazmanishvili performed in concert halls in Europe and America. Unforgotten is her concert 2017 at the Berliner Philharmonie, where she shone with Beethoven’s third piano concerto.

Daniel Hope invited her for his exclusive concert series “Hope@Home”, which will be broadcasted on June, 27 at Arte TV and can be accessed until September, 25th.
